Yes t...Not sure about reading in dark - will check

Yes to quiet page turns - that is one of the best features, you can click pages quickly and without having to rearrange the book / page all the time.

I would not buy one now - next generation will be better.

Newspapers - sad. Like I said on earlier post, read Flat Earth News - best book I've read in ages. The bike shedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05195882998271591934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-876862148358784705.post-5310547031679269132009-05-23T21:15:04.526+01:002009-05-23T21:15:04.526+01:00Can you read it in the dark? And is it quieter than a book (so won't wake slumbering husband who is endlessly irritated by the twitch of a paperback page)? I quite like the look of them in Waterstones, but I haven't got the cash at the moment.

As for the threat to newspapers, I can't see how actual paper newspapers are going to survive. I know people don't buy overseas subscriptions any more (why bother when it's on the website?) And I have to admit I don't buy a daily any more, but Sundays wouldn't be the same without the papers. Since starting out as a reporter in 1990 I have watched newspapers contract at an alarming rate. Technology has eaten away at jobs. I spent the first few years in my job signing leaving cards for printers, comps etc. It's quite depressing really.Maggie Christiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16047691937064748860noreply@blogger.com
